august is walking away, and i havent had a new post for nearly 3 months! longest period of blog abandonment ever. my blog's already bersawang and dusty all over.
september's coming tomorrow (yay!), so i decided to have at least an entry in august coz i didnt have any in july. actually i did write something after i came back from my nz trip, but haha, it just remains as a draft. well, at least until today. coz here's what i wrote:
alhamdulillah. back in sunny brissy, safe and sound. my nz trip was fun yet physically challenging. fun because i had a great time seeing new places and things, and i enjoyed my 'kiwi' friends' fabulous warm hospitality. thank you thank you. korang, nanti datangla oz ek ;) physically challenging because my skin and my nose were soo sensitive to the cold and dry weather. it makes me really thankful that i'm studying in brisbane. wonder how i would survive if i was sent to the land of the queen's. thank you God and thank you dr. suraya. oh ya, it also made me more paranoid about the whole swine flu thingy.
so that was it. hehe. the unfinished post. i have to say, my passion for blogging is just gradually dying. no particular reason for that, just like how we got over barbie dolls and friendster i guess. ok maybe not barbie dolls. just saying.
a few months left before the big day - my flight back to malaysia! really excited, but i have toned it down a bit coz i dont know if i can afford to come back to oz anytime soon. so i'm just gonna try to let myself loving every minute in brisbane with all my heart while i'm still subsidised to do so (^o^), despite countless tearful moments of missing home. but i do love oz ok, dont get me wrong. i just love malaysia more.
so, as always..... photo-story. basi but whatever.
I ♥ OZ. and NZ.

i was bored. and i was looking at some old pics when i figured i could channel this boredom into a bit more healthy and productive “activity”. so this is what i came up with. combining two pieces of my merdeka celebration memory. i know it’s not 31st of august, but don’t we just love malaysia everyday? (awww…)
(mengikut rentak lagu phir bhi dil hai hindustani. ya, i know. hey, what do you expect? we were kids. a bunch of creative kids ;p ah-ha! sounds better).
Aman sentosa
Negaraku aman sentosa
Rakyatnya bahagia
Bebas dari penjajah-penjajah yang durjana
Kami sayang Malaysia
Kami cinta Malaysia
Kami sayang Malaysia
Kami cinta oh Malaysia
the rest of the lyrics, i don’t remember. any dreamerz can help me with that? (the pics of us berdikir barat are not appropriate for public display, sorry).

Again, I’m blogging about sooo last week’s events. Hehe. Tight schedule (tight la sgt). Ramadhan’s here. Alhamdulillah, Brissy may not have a bazaar Ramadhan with ayam percik, nasi tomato, and air kelapa, but it surely teaches me waay beyond what Ramadhan in Malaysia has to offer. Don’t get me wrong, not to say saye dah jd mat saleh n forgot my roots, no darlings. Juz dat when u’re in a place where Ramadhan seems juz like another typical month in the year, u’ll try harder to make the best out of Ramadhan so that it is NOT juz another set of 30 days, it IS Ramadhan, THE Ramadhan. In Malaysia u have everything ready rite in front of ur face, but here u've got to work for it. So u’ll be more likely to appreciate everything here.. Hmm… Hope it’s not too late to wish everybody happy fasting :) and to all of you bloghoppers as well. Hehe…
And of coz, happy belated birthday to my sayang… I love u and miss u soooo mucho2… Wish I could be with you… MALAYSIA…..
Last Monday was my last day at East Brisbane State School for a school observation. We went there every other Monday morning, for 3 times. Well, from my experience there I can easily conclude that I’m MATHEMATICALLY CHALLENGED!! Huhuhu… I was assigned to a Year 7 class, and juz my luck, every Monday morning they have math..
Don’t blame me I’m not naturally bright in math, I have excuses for my “slowness”. These may sound lame, but hey, I’m only human ;p (there, ding dong, one excuse). Ok, I don’t know all the numerical terms in English, I was raised as a melayu sejati, I learnt ABC and 123 with my mother tongue ;p ngehehe.. I’m doing language, tesol, so I’m on Muqaffa’s track, rather than Khawarizmi’s. And, it’s been 4 years since I last did complex math, so it’s been a while my left brain’s in the comfort zone. Now I have to use the calculator even for a simple calculation! And one last excuse, the jalan kerja here is a bit different from what my brain schema has. So you see, nature and nurture complement each other. Hehe nah… Moral of the story is- whatever we learn, be it academically or not, we must make sure we have our intention right. Blaja krn Allah, bkn sbb nak exam or org suro… huhu… And yes, practice makes perfectosss :)

After came back from school, I submitted my photomedia assignment. One of the themes is abstraction. Mari teka apekah benda di dalam gamba di bawah ini? Sape dpt teka die pandai ;p heee~ Jawapan akan diberi in the next post, iA… Kamu2 yg sudah tahu jawapannye dilarang meneka... lalala~
p/s to my Ukhti Ramadhan, whoever u are, if u’re reading this, selamat berpuasa ok :)
